LGBTQIA+ individuals are more than twice as likely as their heterosexual peers to experience depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders due to societal stigma, discrimination, and barriers to affirming care.
Accessible, affirming mental health support can be life-changing, and this scholarship is here to help.
Queer therapy isn’t just about healing wounds - it’s about creating a space where we don’t have to explain ourselves—where we can simply be.
This scholarship is open to one LGBTQIA+ individual who is committed to their personal growth and healing. The recipient will receive a full year of therapy at no cost, offering a safe and affirming space to explore their mental health journey.

Each year, I offer one year of free, trauma-informed therapy to one queer client through the Matt Feriozzi Scholarship. This scholarship is intended for someone who is deeply committed to the therapeutic process but otherwise unable to access care, including those who cannot afford sliding scale rates.
If you are navigating financial hardship and believe you would benefit from ongoing support, you’re invited to reach apply.
The 2025 Matt Feriozzi Scholarship has not yet been claimed.
If you’re interested in being considered for the 2025 scholarship, please email me morgankarcher.counseling@gmail.com with the subject line:
