Pronouns: She/Her
I’m a trauma-focused licensed professional counselor based in Philadelphia, and I’m the founder and owner of Morgan Karcher Counseling. My approach to therapy is rooted in a combination of psychodynamic and relational therapy, incorporating techniques from Art Therapy, Feminist Theory, Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-F CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. These frameworks allow me to work with individuals, couples, and families of all ages to navigate through life’s most challenging moments and find healing.
At Morgan Karcher Counseling, I believe that small changes can be radical acts of resistance. Whether it’s shifting an old belief or challenging patterns that no longer serve you, these incremental steps can create deep transformation.
In addition to individual therapy, I also specialize in couples therapy, helping partners deepen their connection, heal from relational wounds, and build healthier communication patterns. I work with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, BPD, codependency, attachment issues, body image concerns, and so much more.
As a queer therapist, my passion lies in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals as they navigate their identities, deal with discrimination, gender dysphoria, and interpersonal challenges. My practice is centered on a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the importance of healing, growth, and the power of celebration. Queer and trans joy are not only necessary—they are forms of resistance in a world that often seeks to suppress them. Celebrating this joy is essential, and it is something I actively support in my work. As a kink-affirming, anti-racist, and anti-oppression-centered therapist, I strive to create a space where all aspects of your identity are welcomed and celebrated.
Together, we’ll work to unlock your potential for healing, growth, and transformation, while empowering you to live your most authentic life, free from shame and fear. Life is full of challenges, but with the right support, it’s also filled with opportunities to build resilience and joy.
